Going Home

My time with my foster family is almost up.  My Mama and Papa are done kibbutzim in Israel.  The will be home next week.  I am very excited to be reunited.

It is bittersweet, I will miss my foster family.  My oxymoron doppelgänger Moxie, the frat boy Maynard, Lily-Chan and Wellington, the best behaved pittie and my favorite playmate.

Hey Mama and Papa I learned a few things too!  I like cats.  Only in the way that I like to put my mouth arond their bellies and just a little around their necks - but only for a taste.  Also I fetch, but only privately - Wellington is a major ball hog.

The only bummer about it being time to go home is that I just got comfortable enough to relax on the couch.  It only took five and a half months.

JewBear

I thought my JewBear was lost. The nice lady and I checked the yard, grandma's house, the car, the studio - JewBear was nowhere to be found. We deduced either Moxie destroyed JewBear and his remains (plausible, but she is so lazy there was no way she cleaned up the stuffing and carcass) or we lost JewBear on a road trip. Total buzz kill as we gave him up as lost forever.

Today the nice lady was taking out our sweaters and putting away dog towels, at the bottom of the dog sweater and dog towel basket to my surprise was JewBear!

It's a bummer that sweater season is upon us but totally rad that JewBear and I are reunited.

Busy summer

It has been a whirlwind summer with the Nice Lady, the Dude and all the doggies. We have been so busy having fun, we neglected posting our adventures. Here are some highlights:



Moxie and I are getting furminated before our bath.

We are really quite similar after you ignore the obvious size and color difference. We both have curly tails, longish - short hair, long legs, same slender body type. And we both love



to be in our kennel.



Wellington is my best buddy, he taught me to go in the water, to fetch, and to skateboard (okay, I really just pull the nice lady on the skateboard, but we run super fast!!)



The nice lady told me it is okay to be on the couch, but I could never bring myself to get up. Maynard and I snuck up when no one was looking. Or so we thought!

Skateboarding

It is surprising to know that I am the biggest dog at the nice lady's house. But as far as energy I am running with a high energy pack. Even little Maynard (the yorkie) likes to run when we are skating.

After running a few miles, we took a break to rest.

I'll admit it, I do not like fireworks.  Sure they are pretty when they sparkle though the night sky.  But I cannot stand the loud booms.  The nice lady has taken to holding me like a baby, swaddling me in blankets and occasionally I cower under the couch.  July 5th cannot come soon enough!

Today the Nice MAN took me to work...at historic London Bridge Studio where Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains made MUSIC.

Happy Father's Day

We went to the nice lady's familial home to celebrate Father's day. I missed my Papa and Mama but made up for it by playing hard, resting harder.



So tired. Check out this hill! It's has to be a quarter mile. Looks flat, but is not!


Hi Mom and Dad, miss you much<3 Macy Mae

The nice lady attended a wedding - no dogs allowed!  So I went to stay with my Grandma for the weekend!

She and Kevin, my grandpa to be had a surprise for me...yes it did involve being spoiled - but I had a puppy to play with.  Zyva is the cutest puppy ever, and she has a lot of energy.

 MMMMM....a BONE, so tasty.  Grandma knows just what I like!

UW Street Fair

Last weekend was the Street Fair on the Ave. It was crowded.  The lady and I do not like crowds, but we both survived. 

We are taking a break from the crowds.  I'm smiling!

 The little doggies were carried in their own basket!

And we watched a rock concert!

The Beach Birthday Party

It was my birthday yesterday. And we all went to the beach!

I like the waves on my feet, and chasing Wellington when he has the ball.

Treats!!

The nice lady likes to give me treats for tricks. I can sit pretty and am learning shake. I have some competition for treats.

Today we played ball in the yard, Wellie really likes the ball.

Yesterday was HOT!  Well about 65 degrees which is hot for a black dog in Seattle.  The nice lady, Wellie and I took a walk on Alki.  We walked from the Luna Park pier all the way to the bulkheads at the south end of the Alki trail.

The tide was so high, the waves were splashing against the bulkhead, but I was brave. 

The lady brought a ball for Wellie and treats for me.  


Each time the lady through the ball into the water for Wellie, the lady and I practiced on sit and stay.  I love treats!  And when Wellie swam back and got close to the stairs, I would run down, bark and jump at him and get my feet wet.  It was SOOOOOO much fun!

We walked back to the Luna Park pier, drove home, ate, and rested all night!

The rumor today is that I will start skateboard training!
